Madylen was born a healthy and beautiful 9 lb. 3 oz. baby girl.  She passed all of her tests and even scored a 9 and 10 on her APGAR.  She developed normally until 4.5 months when she started to lose milestones and was diagnosed with reflux due to irritability and stiffening when eating.  The irritability became worse and an MRI was done when she was 6 months which came back abnormal.  Blood work was sent out to determine if Maddy had cerebral palsy or something worse.  On February 26th, 2007 our world crashed and we were told our precious princess had Krabbe disease and would not live to be 2 years old.  Unfortunately Maddy was diagnosed after symptoms were too advanced to treat and a transplant was not an option.  The disease followed its course and on September 2nd of 2007 our angel received her wings.
